The Sussex village of Brightling is the home of this 18th century farmhouse,
that has benefited from this first floor extension.
Once again working with local architect Anthony Sherwin,
his simple design enabled this extension to be constructed on top of the existing
ground floor walls.
A highly insulated timber frame wall system not only
made this construction method fast to construct but was a relatively inexpensive
addition to the home.
The newly created space gave the client a wet
room and large dressing area, fitted with bespoke wardrobes and shelving.
Oak floor boards were laid to match the existing.
The wet room walls were finished with marble tiles,
whilst oak flooring and marble mosaics were used on the floor.
