Once the roof carpentry had been completed to this new double gargage in East Dean, the reclaimed clay roof tiles could be fitted in place. Wealden council had insisted that Velux conservation roof lights were fitted to this new building in East Dean.
Now that the structural steel has been installed to the new double garage that we are building in East Dean, the roof carpentry is nearing completion.
This newly created 1st floor space will provide our clients with a much needed study.
The highly insulated timber frame construction is not only fast to build but can prove very economical.

Now that the blockwork has been completed ,the structural steel frame is being installed to this new double garage we are currently building in East Dean.
Due to the restricted access a crane could not be used to install the steelwork,so the beams had to be fitted manually with a telescopic hoist,some of the beams weigh over 650kg 
This bespoke joinery contract was undertaken for a new client in the Sussex village of Northiam. This listed former cow shed was in desperate need of new windows and doors.Once the rotten frames were removed,the new purpose made joinery could be installed.
Our client wisely chose our painted hardwood range,which is very durable and competitive in price.Once installed the new joinery was finished with a white micro porous woodstain.

Having recently completed one successful building project in East Dean,our satisfied customers recommended our building services to their friends.
The first phase of the building works in Eastbourne will be the removal of the existing timber framed garage and the building of a double garage which will also have the benefit of a first floor study.the exterior will be clad in oak weatherboarding and reclaimed clay roof tiles.Conservation Velux windows will provide the light.
Once this phase is completed then we can turn our attention to the existing Grade II listed cottage.This work will involve the removal of the 1970's flat roof extension,a full interior refurbishment and the reconstruction of the new flint and brick extension.
This extension in East Dean will have the luxury of purpose made sliding folding doors which will create some much needed light to this listed cottage.
Now that the structural building works have been completed to this listed house in Eastbourne, we can now start putting it all back together.
This building project in East Dean will also benefit from highly insulated walls,floors and ceilings.
Our local joiner is undertaking the fabrication of the bespoke sliding sash windows and doors,which will match the existing window details.
Now that the two storey extension in Bexhill is nearing completion,works have now started on stripping the existing roof ,which is in need of urgent attention.

Having successfully completed the kitchen refurbishment and utility room extension 3 years ago to this large family home in Bexhill, we are now undertaking the two storey extension to the rear of the property.This newly created space will provide a large lounge with the first floor providing an additional bedroom with a ensuite wetroom.
The first job is the removal of the conservatory and the excavation of the foundations.
After removing the reinforced concrete floor slab, the next job was the removal of the redundant oil tank from the cellar.
Once this was completed the structural steel work could be installed to support the new floor joists. The architects ,CKA Architectural Ltd, had specified triple joists to accommodate the new kitchen island unit.
After months of careful negotiations with Wealden Council we have finally started work on this Grade II Listed property in East Dean. The project involves the refurbishment of the ground area, to enable a much larger kitchen, dining room and utility room to be formed.
The first part of the project will be the removal of the load bearing internal walling and the insertion of new structural steelwork. As part of the new kitchen will be formed in the existing garage, the suspended garage floor had to be lowered, this involved breaking out 20 tons of reinforced concrete!
January sees the launch of our new website which we hope will showcase our specialist building skills to wider audience within East Sussex and Kent. The design and photography is being undertaken by Colin Walton at WaltonCreative.
Colin will be taking more photographs throughout the year, not only of past projects but also of ones undergoing construction.
Works currently in progress are the construction of a family room extension to a detached residence in the Ratton area of Eastbourne. Due to poor ground conditions, specialist advice was sought from structural engineers to design a reinforced retaining structure and extra deep foundations have been dug at over 3m deep!
