Project 2 • Modern Extension
Peter and Alex's new extension to their home reflects another leap forward for the craftsmen of AJ Hammond – a simple, elegant exterior designed to fit in with the local vernacular with a magical contemporary open-plan ground floor space.
The local architects for this project were John D. Clarke & partners who combined the very best of traditional materials with the clients' contemporary desires for light, space and big spans.
An envy – the inducing kitchen and dining areas are the main beneficiaries of the impressive sliding folding door system that allows the flexible space to be opened up or closed down as required.
The first floor extension provided an additional bedroom with a luxurious wet room, tiled floor to ceiling with porcelain tiles.
This project is everything a domestic extension should be; indulgent, fun, stylish and groundbreaking.
